Internet of Things and Security
top themes at exhibition and conferences
The Internet of Things and Security are the key themes at the embedded world Exhibition&Conference 2014. Both are reflected in the exhibition halls and are covered again in depth scientifically and at a high technical level at the conferences.
The best example is the conference's opening keynote at 11:00 on the first day of the event in Shanghai hall: David Kleidermacher, a proven expert in the system software and security sector and author of the book "Embedded Systems Security", takes up the issue of security on the Internet of Things in his presentation entitled "Securing the Internet of Things". Kleidermacher is CTO at Green Hills Software. As always, admission to the keynote is free for all exhibition visitors.
High-end knowledge transfer:
the embedded world Conference 2014
This year's embedded world Conference also offers many presentations and an extensive range of practical workshops. The conference committee of top experts has assessed the many papers submitted and has assembled a first-class conference programme intended primarily for embedded hardware and software developers. It presents proposals for solutions to current and future challenges. The embedded world Conference is THE global expert forum for professional information transfer at the highest level.
The 2014 conference focuses on the three areas of Smart Systems, Smart Software and Smart Connections and takes a look at the current and future challenges for embedded developers. This is where solutions are born, presented and discussed, where future developments are scrutinized, and where the future is shaped. The Internet of Things and Security are also the key basic themes here.
The developers can look forward to an impressive three-day programme with ten parallel sessions and workshops for each theme. The themes of Systems, Software and Connections are presented continuously on all days of the conference, arranged in numerous highly topical fields of development. The embedded world Conference organized by media partner DESIGN&ELEKTRONIK and supported by a conference committee of international experts is the top event for professional information transfer at the highest level.More information about the programme for the embedded world Conference 2014 and registration is available at:www.embedded-world.eu

Record for the M2M Area -
more exhibitors and space
The M2M Area lines up at the start in 2014 with a record number of exhibitors. Machine-to-machine communication (M2M) is a subject that keeps cropping up at embedded world. 42 exhibitors present their new products for wireless machine-to-machine communication on over 900 square metres in hall 4. Suppliers of components for wireless machine-to-machine communication and communication modules for terminal equipment, system integrators who implement remote maintenance solutions, and telecommunication companies wanting to develop the remote maintenance market reach their target groups by exhibiting in the M2M Area.
As in the past years, M2M communication will also be discussed at the embedded world Conference. The M2M I & II session on 27 February is organized by the magazine Computer&AUTOMATION in cooperation with the M2M Alliance.
