See, touch - understand:
The Product Demonstration Area at COMPOSITES EUROPE
Featuring state-of-the-art products and live demonstrations, it's the No. 1 visitor magnet at COMPOSITES EUROPE year after year: the Product Demonstration Area. From 7 to 9 October 2014, exhibitors will once again explain and demonstrate complex processes, procedures and innovative exhibits here.
Among others, presentations at the special area in Hall 8a will include composites solutions for the automotive industry, automated cutting of moulding components and structural parts, and manufacturing of LEO fire retardant components using a silicone bag injection process. A.S.SET (Adjustable Simple Thermoset), an innovative material for manufacturing high-load thermoset fibre composites, will also be on display. Among the companies at this year's Product Demonstration Area will be the Euro-RTM-Group, 3D Core, RH Schneidtechnik, Henkel, BÜFA Composites and TU Dresden.
An additional exhibition area in Hall 8a will supplement the Product Demonstration Area. On display there, among other items, will be current automotive engineering examples such as a composites monocoque and the Tauro V8 Spider sports car, which is built using high-performance acrylic resins and structural adhesives from Scott Bader. Stükertec profiles consisting of a thermoplastic matrix reinforced with continuous fibres with controlled fibre orientation will also be found here, as will cost-effective lightweight e-mobility constructions and the Scigrip solar boat, the winner of the Dong Energy Solar Challenge 2014. The exhibitors at the Product Demonstration Area expo will be Scott Bader Company, TU Dresden, Evonik, Scigrip Europe and Stükerjürgen Aerospace.
New special area
"Industry meets Science"
The new special area "Industry meets Science", organised by the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University and its partner institutes, will enhance the Product Demonstration Area. The focus here will be on the latest developments and highlights from process engineering, dimensioning and quality assurance, in particular traditional thermoset materials and thermoplastic composites but also innovative matrices such as polyurethane and thermoplastics polymerising in situ. Numerous demonstration components and tours complete the range of offerings.
