Two of the world's most renowned conferences on embedded systems take place in Nürnberg from 25-27 February as par
t of the embedded world Exhibition&Conference. The embedded community meets for three days of knowledge transfer at the embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference provides comprehensive information on leading-edge developments in display systems.The conference programmes for both events are already available online.
A few months before the start of the embedded world Exhibition&Conference it is clear that the embedded world's number 1 event is growing appreciably again. "The embedded community fully supports its exhibition. This is not only shown by its continuous development into the most important exhibition of its kind over the past years, but is also clearly confirmed once again by the steadily growing number of new exhibitors.
The industry has a remarkable dynamic. Based on the present level, we will be able to greet 15 per cent new exhibitors again in 2014. The event is the top worldwide platform for the industry to exchange ideas and source information at a high level - the two conferences with their groundbreaking themes make a valuable contribution," says Alexander Mattausch, Exhibition Director of embedded world.

The embedded world Conference parallel to the exhibition offers many presentations and an extensive programme of practical workshops.The embedded world Conference organized by media partner DESIGN&ELEKTRONIK and supported by a conference committee of international experts is the top event for professional information transfer at the highest level.
The conference committee of top experts has assessed the many papers submitted and has assembled a first-class conference programme intended primarily for embedded hardware and software developers.It presents proposals for solutions to present and future challenges.
The conference in 2014 focuses on the three areas of Smart Systems, Smart Software and Smart Connections and takes a look at the present and future challenges for developers.The embedded world Conference makes a major contribution to the nature of the whole event, not just as a showcase for an innovative sector, but rather as a meeting point and forum for innovative developers.This is where solutions are born, presented and discussed, where future developments are scrutinized, and where the future is shaped.
The developers can look forward to an impressive programme over three days, each with ten parallel sessions and workshops.The themes of systems, software and connections will be presented continuously on all days of the conference, arranged in numerous highly topical fields of development.
Smart Connections
Wireless communication technologies particularly interest developers. Their use in connected systems opens up totally new application possibilities. RFID and M2M are just two examples of topics that are given special attention at the conference.
Smart Software
Embedded Linux is increasingly penetrating the world of embedded systems.The conference programme offers all-day training courses and presentations to satisfy the large demand for information.Software development with its many facets is also covered extensively in the conference programme.The conference will also deal with software design methods, model-based software development, software design in high-level languages, simulation, verification and debugging, as well as RTOS, Android or Java, to mention only a few themes.
The system concept at the conference far exceeds mere hardware. Modern multicore modules are, of course, a major topic at the conference, but questions on "ultra-low energy consumption", system design on the basis of FPGAs and functionally secure systems are important parts of the conference. Also highly topical are all questions concerning unattackable systems. Embedded security is more important than ever nowadays. The conference organizers have therefore devoted a lot of time to this subject.
