Leading Event for All
Aspects of Optical Technologies
The 12th Optatec international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems is casting its shadow well in advance! First of all, as the recognised world's leading trade fair in its sector, Optatec is the only event dedicated exclusively to issues involving the development and application of optical technologies. Secondly, industry representatives from the fields of components, assemblies and complete systems meet up with potential customers from all over the world at Optatec. Thirdly, international expert visitors are presented with worldwide offerings for technologies, components and system solutions at Optatec. Fourthly, the spectrum of offerings and information is more than just rounded out by an exceptional, technology and applications oriented supplementary programme. And fifthly, the potential for innovation demonstrated by the future-oriented photonics sector will once again be made plainly apparent at Optatec in the form of both hardware and software.
The fact that this is indeed the case is not only substantiated by the roughly 500 companies who have thus far registered to participate at Optatec. As a result, the nearly 194,000 square feet of exhibition floor space available in hall 3 at the international trade fair centre in Frankfurt are already entirely booked out! The exhibitors come from 25 countries, with China and the USA comprising the largest foreign quotas of 15% and 10% respectively. Held traditionally in Frankfurt, Germany's metropolis on the Main River, expert visitors from more than 100 countries around the world not only attend the Optatec international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems to gather information about the latest technologies, processes, applications and trends, but rather to place orders for components, assemblies and complete units as well.
The levels of technological expertise and decision-making authority are correspondingly high amongst the visitors, who are able to gain valuable insights beyond their own horizons at the same time thanks to the above mentioned, world-class supplementary programme. In this respect, the 12th Optatec truly has something special to offer, for example the workshop on current developments concerning DIN ISO 10110 held by the SPECTARIS German Industry Association for Photonics and Precision Engineering, and the newly organised "Study Photonics" Training & Research Technology Park at which the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, the Central Hesse University of Applied Sciences, the Rhine-Main University of Applied Sciences, the Mainz University of Applied Sciences and the Wildau Technical University of Applied Sciences will introduce themselves along with their specialised courses of study. Furthermore, a "Startup Challenge" will be offered by optecnet Germany's Competence Network for Optical Technologies and an innovations forum will be held by optence Networking in Photonics, not to mention the time-tested Optatec exhibitor forum. The CEO Round Table with prominent representatives from the industry sector is a traditional highlight which also takes place at the event.
