Fakuma 2014 -
Production Technology for Plastics
Plastics themselves, and to a great degree the manufacturing processes for plastic products, represent two indispensable elements for environmental protection through the efficient use of resources! Hybrid components in the form of innovative plastic-metal combinations, fibreglass-reinforced plastic parts and mono carbon-fibre parts with and without inserts for integrated functions - highly technical characteristics and the conservation of resources can be brought entirely into accord through the use of intelligent lightweight construction, as well as material and energy saving technologies and processes. Proof of this is provided every day by thousands of plastics processing companies all over the world, who face tough competition and, alone for their own benefit, are interested in cost-saving production of plastic parts.
Corresponding solutions are offered by the Fakuma international trade fair for plastics processing in a strictly unadulterated manner, because more than any other industry event in the world, this trade fair deals consistently with the processing of all types of plastics. Globally, supra-regionally and nationally active suppliers of machinery, tooling, peripherals and services see things this way too, for which reason more than 80% of all available exhibition floor space at the ultramodern exhibition centre in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance has already been booked for the 23rd edition of Fakuma, taking place in 2014. And this is all the more noteworthy due to the fact that the 23rd Fakuma will not take place for almost a year, namely from 14 through 18 October 2014, which means that full occupancy of the entire Friedrichshafen Exhibition Centre can be expected.
The international location where Germany, Austria and Switzerland meet makes a considerable contribution to Fakuma's outstanding international acceptance, especially in light of the fact that Germany, Switzerland and Austria who, in the order listed, will have the largest number of exhibitors at the event, will be joined by neighbouring Italy, which has always played an important role in the global arena for the production of plastic parts and will have the fourth largest delegation at Fakuma. However, due to the fact that Italy's economy is still stagnating and is suffering from the continuing recession, Italian manufacturers and distributors of technologies, processes, machinery, tooling and peripheral equipment for efficient plastics processing are seeking out other markets. As a recognised international trade fair for plastics processing, Fakuma very plainly plays a central role in this regard, which explains the great demand for exhibition floor space.
Due to the fact that Italian manufacturers of plastic parts are looking for new customers whom they'll only be able to convince through the use of new materials and more energy-efficient, i.e. more competitive plastics processing solutions, to a great extent the Italian plastics sector goes full circle at Fakuma 2014. For all of the other exhibitors of relevant machines and tooling, this in turn harbours the opportunity of presenting their hardware and software solutions to expert visitors from Italy, and of course from all over the world, and of generating new business by developing intensive contacts. This is the essence of a trade fair like Fakuma, which sees itself as an integrated information, communication and business platform with strong ties to actual industrial practice.
