E-world 2016
Focuses on Newcomers to the Sector
From February 16 to 18, 2016, E-world energy & water will open itself up to newcomers to the sector to an increasing extent. For the first time, not only young innovative companies but also start-ups from the energy industry will be able to present themselves to the expert world at the leading European fair. In cooperation with the World Energy Council - Germany (amongst others), the organisers conIenergy and Messe Essen will bring founders together with investors and industrial partners from all over Europe. Nearly 150 participating companies have already registered.
No fewer than several target-oriented events will take place in the Smart Energy subject area at E-world. On Wednesday, February 17, the start will be made by the "Smart Green Future" panel at the Energy Transition Forum in Hall 7. Here, start-ups will receive the chance to introduce themselves to the trade public in brief pitches. Thereafter, a podium discussion with experts from Statkraft and RWE (amongst others) will be dedicated to the financing possibilities for start-ups. Under the title of "E-world Meets Start-Ups", newcomers to the sector will also be able to get into contact with potential investors and industrial partners in a relaxed atmosphere at a brunch in Hall 7 on Thursday, February 18.
Moreover, all the participants will be invited to the presentation of the Energy App Award which will be handed over at the fair for the first time on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. From almost 60 candidates, the jury with prominent members has selected ten finalists which will be distinguished in the Customer Benefit, Innovation and Future Concept categories.
